The Warehousing Conference calls for papers

The warehouse industry is a major industry sector that now has a dedicated conference covering industry trends and future directions.
 
The recently-established Australian Warehousing Association, in conjunction with Australian Exhibitions and Conferences, will host the inaugural ‘Warehousing Today’ conference in Sydney in October 2010.
 
The conference will be held in conjunction with The Safety Show & Sydney Materials Handling on Tuesday 26 October 2010 at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
 
The conference organisers are now calling for papers from suitably qualified persons to address one of the topics below. The conference topics may be varied should an exceptional presenter or paper be provided that is current and relevant to the industry’s needs.
  • Government distribution strategy.
  • The environmentally friendly warehouse.
  • Facilities, layout design, material flow and productivity.
  • Compliance in the warehouse.
  • People and the new IR laws.
  • Recycling and the environment.
  • The smart forklift.
  • Trends in transportation

The Australian Warehousing Association (AusWA) aims to service the warehousing and distribution industry, a critical component in the supply chain.
 
This association is affiliated with the international organisations International Federation of Warehousing and Logistics Association IFWLA and the United Kingdom Warehousing Association UKWA.
