The Kubota KX163-5 is a 5.5-ton class zero-tail-swing compact hydraulic excavator designed for confined spaces, municipal projects, landscaping, and utility work. Powered by the Kubota V2607-DI engine delivering 35.5 kW (48.3 HP), it has an operating weight of 5,520 kg and a standard bucket capacity of 0.22 m³. It offers a maximum digging depth of 3,690 mm and a maximum digging reach of 6,140 mm. With a rear swing radius of just 1,045 mm and an offset boom capability, the KX163-5 allows true “wall-hugging” operation without the need to reposition the machine frequently. Equipped with a triple-pump load-sensing hydraulic system delivering 40.1 kN of bucket digging force, it also features an automatic idling system, SS key anti-theft protection, and fully opening hoods for easy maintenance.
