2Brothers Plumbing & Gas of Albany Creek, Brisbane, purchased an Isuzu NPR 45-155 Tradepack AMT last year and it has done so much more for the company than founder James Sharvell expected. 2Brothers specialises in plumbing, gas, drainage, and maintenance on new builds and renovations. The firm serves customers across Queensland, including in Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, as well as in New South Wales.
Utes Give Way To A Truck
Sharvell started the company with a pair of utes, but he quickly realized that his specialty tools weren’t safe from the elements or from potential thieves and that space was an issue in general. After test driving several vehicles from other brands, he eventually landed on the NPR 45-155 Tradepack for its power, payload capacity, and easy-driving nature. He also appreciated the comfortable interior and the stylish exterior, all of which came at a lower cost than other options.
Adding the new Isuzu also immediately addressed Sharvell’s storage and safety concerns with plenty of space for hauling jack hammers, concrete saws, and other equipment while keeping them securely locked away when not in use. It also doesn’t hurt that the vehicle has a gross vehicle mass and gross combination mass of 4,500 and 8,000 kilograms, respectively, and is powered by a 193-horsepower (144-kilowatt) engine that produces up to 419 newton-metres of torque.
Reliability & Meeting Demand
So far, 2Brothers’ Isuzu NPR has proven to be a reliable vehicle. Sharvell says that a truck breakdown means he loses a day of work, and in turn “could lose a large sum of profit,” which is why he went with Isuzu as it is known as “the most reliable truck brand in the industry.” That’s particularly important now because the company has seen a dramatic increase in business, even during the pandemic. Sharvell attributes much of that to do the Isuzu’s stylish exterior and 2Brothers’ unmistakable livery. In fact, Sharvell says that the truck “really stands out” and has become something of a rolling billboard that attracts new customers.
More Business Will Make 2Brothers A Repeat Customer
“Honestly, I just wanted a truck for better haulage and productivity and instead, the Tradepack has done something more. This truck has scored us more work than any of the utes that I’ve had over the years,” says Sharvell. “In just the small time we’ve had it, it’s helped to market our brand quickly and bring in heaps of additional customers. Buying this truck was one of the best things I could have done for the business. The Isuzu dealer was also great to work with—Josh Pennings from Eagle Farm Isuzu made everything so easy and straightforward. I am really happy with the truck and the overall experience. When I’m ready for another truck in the future, I will definitely be going back there for another Isuzu.”
