Biltar Pty Ltd is a custom house-framing company based in Southeast Melbourne that has quickly grown to include 18 team members. And as the number of framing jobs has increased, Biltar needed a way to more efficiently transport both materials and tools between worksites. Investing in a 2015 Isuzu NPR 55-155 Tradepack has provided a way for the Biltar team to carry the necessary timber, generators, and tools, dramatically reducing the number of needed trips.
Efficiency Gains
Ben Carr established Biltar Pty Ltd and says that the business’ primary focus is on the quality of the work and building good relationships with both builders and clients. As such, efficiency and meeting deadlines are critical to maintaining relationships. The Isuzu NPR 55-155 Tradepack offers a GVM rating of 5,500 kilograms (12,125 pounds) and GCM of 9,000 kg (19,841 lbs), which allows it to easily carry a load full of timber in its heavy-duty aluminium tray.
“Before this, I would never have been able to fit all of the timber and other materials onto the old trailer, but I can now with the NPR Tradepack,” Carr says. “If the timber needs to be moved by one of the other work crews but they can’t take everything, the truck can.”
The Ready-To-Work Tradepack
Isuzu’s Tradepack editions, available in the NPR 45-155 and NPR 55-155 models, feature a built-in tray featuring a heavy-duty headboard, dropsides, tie rails, and galvanised ladder racks. Biltar also took advantage of the Tradepack upgrade options, including a powder-coated, lockable, underbody-mounted storage box to better carry tools to and from jobsites. Both the NPR-45 and NPR 55-115 are powered by an Isuzu 4HK1-TCN engine with a maximum power of 114 kilowatts (153 horsepower) at 2,600 rpm.
