At its annual Dealer Conference and Awards Dinner, IVECO Australia handed out awards to several dealerships based on “sales, service, and parts departments, dealership staff participation in training initiatives, and feedback from customer care programs” in 2018, according to IVECO. The company presented four awards at the dinner with Dealer of the Year—Metropolitan going to Newcastle IVECO, Dealer of the Year—Regional going to Coffs Harbour IVECO, Dealer of the Year—Daily going to Melbourne-based Westar Truck Centre, and Dealer of the Year—Parts and Service going to Andersen Truck and Trailer Repairs.
One Dealer Group Takes Home Two Awards
Newcastle IVECO and Coffs Harbour IVECO are both part of the same dealer group headed by Dealer Principal Alex Reynolds. He took over the role in April 2019 and was on hand to accept both awards. “It gives me great pleasure in knowing that I have stepped into a fantastic team—the feeling of accepting awards for both regional and metropolitan Dealer of the Year is indescribable,” said Reynolds. “However, I need to pay tribute to former Dealer Principal, Kevin Purcell. Kevin led the performance of both dealerships throughout 2018 to achieve Dealer of the Year. To be acknowledged as the best by IVECO at both dealerships in the same year speaks volumes for the dedication and effort of all our staff.”
If At First You Don’t Succeed
Anthony Long, dealer principal of Westar Truck Centre, was also at the event and expressed his pride in the dealership opening in 2016 and receiving this award for its efforts in 2018. “As a dealership we are very focused on being successful at everything we do. We were shortlisted for the award in 2017 and although we didn’t win, the team set its sights on going one better in 2018,” said Long. “The award is recognition for the entire team at Westar Truck Centre, Campbellfield. Each department has in some way contributed to the achievement and our sales executive Scott Whiting has been particularly passionate about growing the brand presence within the local area.”
