GP Plant Trailer Range The GP Plant Trailer range is widely recognised as one of the toughest and most durable plant trailer ranges available. Designed to withstand the demands of construction, civil, landscaping and plant hire industries, GP trailers feature a robust open steel framework that is fully integrated with the chassis, providing exceptional strength and long-term reliability. With a maximum gross vehicle weight of 3,500kg, the range includes models from the compact GP106 through to the larger GP146, offering solutions for a wide variety of machinery transport requirements. Selected models are also available in tri-axle configurations, while multiple tyre options allow operators to tailor the trailer to their specific application. Every GP trailer is fitted as standard with a heavy-duty resin-coated plywood platform, delivering a durable and hard-wearing loading surface suitable for demanding work environments. For added versatility, a range of factory-fitted options is available, including aluminium treadplate floor coverings, bolt-on knife-edge ramps and extended 1.8m (6ft) loading skids or ramps in place of the standard 1.2m (4ft) versions. All GP models are equipped with integrated ramp or skid support systems as standard. This innovative design supports the trailer during loading and unloading operations without the need to deploy separate rear prop stands, improving efficiency while enhancing safety and stability on site. Key Features • Choice of Loading Options – GP Plant Trailers are available with either a full-width loading ramp or hinged skids as standard, allowing you to select the setup best suited to your machinery. • Spring-Assisted Self-Supporting Ramp – Designed for easy operation, reducing lifting effort while providing safe and efficient loading and unloading. • Hinged Skids – Ideal for loading a variety of plant and equipment, offering flexibility and ease of use for narrower machinery. • Integrated Prop Stands – Built into the trailer design to provide stability during loading and unloading without the need for separate supports. • Resin Coated Plywood Platform – Heavy-duty, weather-resistant flooring designed to withstand demanding site conditions and regular use. • Spare Wheel & Carrier – Included as standard for added convenience and peace of mind when travelling. • Bucket Rest – Securely supports excavator buckets during transport, improving load stability and safety. • Aluminium Treadplate Mudguards – Durable and corrosion-resistant mudguards designed to handle tough working environments. • Security Marking & TER Registration – Security marking and registration with TER (The Equipment Register) helps deter theft and assists with identification and recovery if required. GP Plant Trailer Specifications Additional tyre options are available across the GP range, including 195/60R12C, 175/75R16C and 6.50R16C (twin axle models only). Unladen weights may vary depending on tyre selection. High-sided GP models are also available and add approximately 80kg to the unladen weight. Low-sided models are offered with either open or closed sides and include a bucket rest as standard, while high-sided models feature enclosed sides with an optional bucket rest. This configuration provides the flexibility of a plant trailer with the added practicality of a general-purpose trailer.
