With components designed to withstand the harshest working conditions and robust two-, three-, and four-axle configurations, Daf Trucks'  New Generation XDC and XFC construction vehicles provide solid platforms for concrete mixers, hook lifts, tippers, and other vehicles found on jobsites. At Bauma , Daf has teamed up with a variety of bodybuilders to show off its range of construction vehicle options. Daf also says it’s working with those same upfitters to offer pre-specified truck combinations, allowing the built-up trucks to be ready for delivery in Q1 2023.

    Shared DNA

The New Generation XDC and XFC offer many of the key features found on Daf’s “International Truck of the Year” counterparts, such as the XD, XF, XG, and XG+ models. Daf complements these capabilities with construction-focused improvements. For instance, the XDC and XFC trucks both are equipped with a 25-degree approach angle. Ground clearance ranges from 33 to 39 centimetres (13 to 15.4 inches). Daf also includes a three-piece steel bumper and steel radiator protection plate to ensure uptime. In addition to the previously mentioned axle configurations, the XDC and XFC are available in a single or double drive axles; the latter is a better option for off-highway traction.

    Power & Efficiency

Daf equips its construction vehicles with TraXon automated gearbox and an off-road mode that improves shifting performance to maintain momentum on heavy or hilly terrain. The XDC and XFC also offer operators an automatic drive-off gear selection with new options to start in slipper conditions or to facilitate fast rocking. The New Generation XDC and XFC trucks ranges are both available with PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines offering up to 530 horsepower (390 kilowatts). Daf designed the XDC and XFC with a flexible chassis layout, so bodybuilders can adjust components like the AdBlue tank, battery box, EAS, and fuel tanks.
