As part of being a truck driver, you have many responsibilities and people depending on you. As you are on the road often, it is important to take frequent stops to ensure you're not overworking yourself and able to concentrate being on the road.

Due to tight deadlines and minimal places available to stop and park a truck, it creates limitations for you. That is why truck stops are essential for truck drivers to stop at.

Truck stops allow you to make one stop to fulfil all your needs.  You are able to:

    • take a bathroom break,
    • eat food,
    • and maintain your truck - fill up with petrol, check your radiator and oil.

It is good to know where the truck stops are during your travels. Now days, many truck stops located in Australia are managed by oil companies, large supermarket chains, and now even some fast food chains. This serves as an advantage as now there is a wider selection of food and facilities available at the truck stops.
