Hino teams up with Preston Hire Pit Garage for upcoming Supercars Championship season
When a brand partners up with a racing team, the relationship has to make sense. Hino Motor Sales Australia has been a sponsor of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship series for the past two years, which is why it feels right for the company to partner with the Preston Hire Racing Team 18 for the upcoming 2018 season. Hino is not only sponsoring the team, but is also working as a business partner for multiple marketing opportunities. It’s a win-win scenario for both organizations as Hino expands its profile in the racing scene and Team 18 gets a solid sponsor for the upcoming season, and possibly beyond.
A natural fit
Aside from the fact that Hino has already been involved with the Supercars Championship series, there are many reasons why it makes sense for the company to double down on the sponsorship. For example, Preston Hire Racing has already teamed up with another Toyota Group company, Toyota Forklifts, which brings even more synergy to the relationship. The idea is that all of Toyota’s many product offerings, ranging from trucks and cars to forklifts and financing, are a fit for fans of the Supercars Championship series as well as fans of Preston Hire Racing specifically. Plus, Team 18’s owner also owns and operates a dealership that sells over 2,000 Toyota forklifts and 50 Toyota Hilux Service vehicles.
With this partnership and the reveal of a newly designed Preston Hire Racing ZB Commodore racecar, 2018 is shaping up to be an exciting season for Team 18. The car, complete with Hino branding, will make its debut at the Adelaide 500 in March of 2018, and kicks off the entire 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship season.
