2018 Nissan Navara tested exclusively in Australia
Nissan is making some big ride, handling, and steering changes to the 2018 Navara. The major under-the-metal updates were initiated by Nissan Australia with testing done in a variety of Australian conditions by a global contingent of Nissan pickup experts. The performance enhancements are engineered to make the 2018 Navara more capable both on and off the road.
Spring System & Rear Suspension Upgrades
Nissan designed the 2018 Navara with a dual-rate rear spring system that includes an integrated lower and higher spring rate for a more comfortable ride in unladen and light payload conditions. The spring system changes also allow for a higher payload to be carried without compromise in posture or ride and handling quality. The rear suspension includes a dynamic rebound damper that, when laden, will contact the chassis rail and increase resistance. The end result is a suspension that reduces lateral body movement and improves the Navara’s handling and stability.
Safety & Technology Advancements
All pickup variants of the 2018 Navara feature a rear-view camera; and within the SL, ST, and ST-X grades, the rear-view camera is fitted with an infotainment screen. All Dual Cab options now boast ISOFix child seat mounting points on the outer rear seats in the second row. A 360-degree Around View Monitor comes standard on all ST-X grade Navara Utes. Around View Monitor uses four mounted cameras to help drivers to see approaching vehicles and surrounding cars, and it also makes parking easier, because the Around View Monitor can recognize marked lines.
The Options
The 2018 Nissan Navara is available in three cabin variants: Single Cab, King Cab, and the popular Dual Cab. There are 27 Pickup and eight Cab Chassis options and 10 4X2 and 25 4X4 variants. On Truckworld.com.au, there are a good number of used Nissan Navara Utes for sale, and Nissan has a few more options for people in the market for Light Commercial vehicles.
