New features you’ll find on the 2019 Ford Ranger include an upgraded suspension and Inter-Urban AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) with Vehicle Detection and Pedestrian Detection technologies, which make the vehicle safer whether on- or off-road. The new truck takes great strides in inspiring confidence among its owners due to the Ford Service Price Promise, Loan Car Program, and Low Price Tyre Guarantee. In addition, customers who purchase a Ranger model that supports SYNC 3 are eligible to receive complementary map updates for up to seven years.
Four impressive models
The Ford Ranger XL Series, the affordable and dependable entry-level model, has a recommended MLP (manufacturer list price) starting at $27,990. This vehicle is available with either a 4x2 or 4x4 powertrain and features an easy-lift tailgate, which requires 70% less initial force to raise and is easier to lower. The new suspension results in better control when fully laden or towing payloads.
The next step up is the Ford Ranger XLS Series, which adds a number of popular features to the base model. These include alloy wheels, front fog lamps, chrome headlights, standard front parking sensors, and more. Customers also have access to the optional SYNC 3 Pack that consists of an 8-inch full-colour touchscreen, sat nav, reversing camera, DAB+ radio, and Emergency Assistance service (compatible mobile phone required). The Ford Ranger XLS has a starting MLP of $49,190.
The best-selling model, the Ford Ranger XLT Series, features a redesigned aesthetic with HID headlamps and LED daytime running lights that make the road safer for the driver and other vehicles on the road. Ranger XLT’s exterior features an attractive illuminated load box capped by a standard sports bar. Customers also have the option of getting the Ranger XLT with the new-generation Bi-Turbo engine and 10-speed automatic transmission, which delivers a smoother, quieter, and more comfortable ride. The new powertrain also generates a significant amount of torque for better response when you need it most. The Ford Ranger XLT has a starting MLP of $56,190.
Customers who want the ultimate Ford Ranger will opt for the Wildtrak model, which features the Bi-Turbo engine standard, as well as Smart keyless entry, push-button engine start, SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and sat nav. Other features include a lockable hard tonneau cover, Inter-Urban AEB with Vehicle Detection and Pedestrian Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Alert, and Active Park Assist.
