    Mercedes-Benz marks down December 2018 for release of X 350 d 4MATIC

Mercedes-Benz recently announced that its X 350 d 4MATIC will be available in Australia beginning in December of 2018. The flagship X-Class model sports a six-cylinder, 3.0-litre engine that produces up to 258 horsepower and 550 newton-metres of torque from 1,400 to 3,200 rpm.

There are two different model grades, both of which come with the 7G-TRONIC PLUS 7-speed automatic transmission: the PROGRESSIVE grade that will retail for $73,270 Manufacturer’s Recommended List Price (MRLP) and the POWER grade that will retail for $79,415 MRLP. The PROGRESSIVE package features KEYLESS-GO, a two-zone THERMOTRONIC AC system, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The POWER package has all of that, plus an aluminium dash trim, black roof liner, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

    4MATIC technology

Mercedes-Benz’s 4MATIC all-wheel drive system is always on, so drivers can be ready for on-road and off-road driving in an instant. There are three different AWD modes to choose form, including 4MAT, 4H, and 4L. 4MAT is the automatic solution that changes torque distribution based on the terrain, 4H is specifically for off-road driving with torque distribution between 30 percent and 70 percent, and the 4L mode is for going up steeper inclines with a 50-50 torque distribution between the front and rear.

    Other features

The Mercedes-Benz X 350 d 4MATIC has five available driving modes as a part of the DYNAMIC SELECT system, including Comfort, Eco, Sport, Manual, and Offroad to fit your specific driving style. It also comes with a wide range of safety features, including vented disc brakes, seven airbags, support for two child seats with i-Size attachments, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Brake Assist, ESP trailer stabilisation, tyre pressure monitoring, a reverse camera, and more. Other optional add-ons include leather seats, styling bars, stowage boxes, and load bed liners as well as a sports bar with a silver or black roll cover.
