Isuzu Displays Ready-To-Work FRR 110-260 Freightpack Curtainside Truck At IPWEA
Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) attended the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) Australasian Fleet Conference in Brisbane during the final week of March. The company brought with it a medium-duty FRR 110-260 Freightpack curtainside truck from its Ready-To-Work range.
“With a truck for almost every application out there, the Ready-To-Work line-up has been an outstanding success for Isuzu Trucks,” says IAL Chief of Sales and Aftersales Ben Lasry.
The Isuzu FRR 110-260 Freightpack
Isuzu offers five Freightpack models based on its F series of medium-duty trucks. The range has 10-, 12-, or 14-pallet capacities and four- or six-cylinder engines.
The 10-pallet FRR 110-260 Auto Freightpack is a pre-bodied, turnkey vehicle designed to provide several forms of efficiency for fleets and small businesses alike. It has a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of 11,000 kilograms (24,250 pounds) and a gross combination mass (GCM) of 20,000 kg (44,100 lbs).
The durable FRR 110-260 has a 7.8-litre, six-cylinder, 24-valve Isuzu engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain generates 256 horsepower (188 kilowatts), as well as 761 newton-metres (561 pounds-foot) of torque between 1,450 and 2,400 rpm.
Freightpack curtainside models include easy-glide curtains, quick-release latches, halo lighting, and interior LED light strips for easy loading and unloading at any hour. The Isuzu Multimedia System in the cab supports voice commands and Bluetooth, and it can read messages aloud from a mobile phone. The driver sits in a highly adjustable, ISRI 6860 air suspension seat. Options include an automated manual transmission.
The FRR 110-260 Freightpack comes with a six-year, 300,000-kilometre (186,400-mile) standard warranty, which Isuzu says is the longest warranty for medium-duty trucks on the Australian market. The vehicle is also backed by six years of roadside support.
Ready To Work
At IPWEA, Isuzu also highlighted a Tipper model from the Ready-to-Work range, which also includes Servicepack, Tradepack, Traypack, and Vanpack configurations with four- or six-cylinder engines.
“Showcasing the FRR Tipper from our medium-duty range highlights the versatility of the Isuzu product, namely that the Ready-To-Work range is not just limited to lighter trucks,” says Lasry. “From our Tippers through to our recently expanded Freightpack range, fleet operators can source a diverse range of Isuzu product without compromising on wait times for body builds and other compliance issues.”
