Adelaide Liquid Waste Solutions has seen no shortage of business since opening in 2020. The unpredictable nature of the waste industry means the firm has teams working around the clock to serve the Adelaide area, ensuring they can respond immediately when an issue arises for their commercial clientele. To support its steady growth and ensure it can continue to take care of its customers, Adelaide Liquid Waste Solutions recently added a new Isuzu twin-steer FYH 300-350 to its fleet.

    About The FYH 300-350

The FYH 300-350 is powered by Isuzu’s 6UZ1-TCC power plant, which offers 345 horsepower (257 kilowatts) at 2,000 rpm and 1,422 newton-metres (1,048 pounds-foot) of torque at 1,400 rpm to manage large loads. The twin-steer configuration improves load distribution over the axles for greater efficiency and control while navigating work sites. The truck is equipped with a 6-speed Allison 4430 automatic transmission with power take-off mode and sixth-generation electronic controls.

The FYH has a reversing camera that not only makes backing up safer but also can be used to check the trailer while the truck is moving forward. For operator comfort, automatic climate control and electronic cruise control come as standard along with the ISRI 6860/875 air suspension driver’s seat with an integrated lap-sash seatbelt, dual-stage air lumbar/lateral support, a multi-adjustable seat swab, an adjustable shock absorber, and an adjustable shoulder position.

“Our staff love their Isuzu trucks, and the Isuzu reliability matches the reliability we offer our customers,” says Adelaide Liquid Waste Solutions Co-Director Suzanne Magro. (Photo courtesy of Isuzu.)

One of the biggest advantages of the FYH is the capacity for a 16,000-litre (4,227-gallon) tank, the biggest in the fleet, for collecting liquid waste seven days a week. “The reason we went for that size truck is we do a lot of bulk sewer vacuum tanking from sites such as building developments that haven't yet connected to the sewer mains,” says Adelaide Liquid Waste Solutions Co-Director Suzanne Magro. “We might be pumping waste, but we all enjoy what we do here. Our staff love their Isuzu trucks, and the Isuzu reliability matches the reliability we offer our customers.”
