Ford Australia recently announced the expansion of the Ranger Super Duty line with a new Pick-Up body style and the new premium Ranger Super Duty XLT series, which will be available mid-2026. The Pick-Up body combines a factory-fitted tub with a headline towing capacity of 4,500 kg. The XLT series has 18-inch alloy wheels and leather-accented front seats with heating and ventilation.

“The Ranger Super Duty was born from a direct need to do more for our customers, and the reaction since our initial announcement has been extraordinary,” says Andrew Birkic, president and CEO, Ford Australia. “By introducing the Pick-Up body style and the XLT series, we’re taking that massive towing and hauling capability of Ranger Super Duty and making it even more versatile for Australian drivers.

“We know that for many customers—especially those touring our great, vast nation—comfort is just as important as capability. The XLT grade, combined with the flexibility of a factory-fitted tub or cab-chassis, opens up the Super Duty to recreational users who want a vehicle that can tow just about anything, anywhere, without sacrificing the refinement needed for long-distance touring.”

    The Versatile Pick-Up Body

The Pick-Up body is designed to allow the driver to tow a trailer or carry a heavy payload one day and use it for off-road fun the next, merging a dedicated work truck with a premium touring vehicle. The new body option gives buyers the heavy-duty capabilities of the cab-chassis in a factory-fitted tub with the Ranger Super Duty’s 1,710-mm track width and 850-mm wading depth to tackle the tough Australian terrain.

    Durability & Comfort

The Ranger Super Duty XLT series will be available in Double Cab Cab-Chassis and Double Cab Pick-Up variants. Designed for off-road recreation and extended touring, the series features 18-inch 8-stud alloy wheels, leather accented seats with heating and ventilation in the front seats, all-weather floor mats, and Traction Green as a new exterior colour option.

The Ranger Super Duty line will also have new factory options, including an 8.9-inch digital rearview mirror, the Aeroklas twin in-bed drawer system, and commercial and stylish canopy options.
